Other Names: African Rosewood, Essingang, Buvenga

Durability: Very durable with a Janka hardness rating of 1980. 35% harder than Red Oak. A good exotic flooring option for high traffic areas. As with all flooring options, care must be taken with furniture, pets, and children.

Working Properties: Works easily with hand or power tools. Reduced cutting angle recommended for interlocked grain. Moderate to severe blunting of cutters. Pre-drilling required for nailing. Stains easily and can be brought to an excellent finish.
